Stephen Coco

Since 2024, Steve Coco has served as global managing director, Human Resources and Compensation Consulting, and as a member of the Global Operating Committee for Gallagher Benefit Services.

Having started his career as a strategy consultant and moved on to run multiple human capital management consulting firms, he brings 20+ years of experience to this role — and plenty of energy as he leads the business line's evolution to a high-growth platform.

Most recently, Steve served as the chief revenue officer at Buck, responsible for sales, marketing, client strategy, digital transformation and innovation globally.

Prior to this position, Steve was president and CEO of Conduent HRS Consulting — the pre-carve-out Buck entity. After returning the business to growth in his first year as CEO, he successfully led Buck through divestiture and standup as a private, successful organization — which resulted in positive outcomes for Buck's clients and people.

Steve is a visionary and inspiring leader — and as a change agent, thrives on tackling big problems, maximizing new opportunities and empowering the people and teams around him to succeed.

He hosts an annual charitable "art-auction-meets-leisure sports decathlon," in which teams participate in unusual Olympic-style events for prizes while bidding on local art to benefit the Boston Children's Hospital, a place that's dear to him since he served as patient ambassador in the early 2000s.

Steve is a graduate of Bates College, with a BS in economics. He splits time between Florida and Cape Cod, Massachusetts with his wife, Kat, and dog, Gia.
