The world has been on hold, in many ways, for the past year and a half, but I'm seeing a drive in the nonprofit world to begin addressing their objectives, again. Politically motivated organizations are shifting efforts back into achieving their goals of social change; those providing housing have had to find creative means — many making arrangements with hotels and motels to address the increasing homeless populations; and a vast majority of schools and daycares that closed or implemented remote learning have brought students back to campuses. The most impactful leadership aspect I've witnessed for these organizations is adaptability. The ability to change to suit the evolving needs of the clients served seems to be a fundamental key to sustainability.
