Gallagher's National Risk Control group has a team of risk control professionals who collaborate to create innovative and custom risk management solutions exclusively for affordable housing clients. We have industry specific resources and provide consultative services to assist clients in reducing their total cost of risk.
Our affordable housing team recently developed a Housing Authority Safety Series in Gallagher Safety Training Education Platform (STEP) — which is our proprietary learning management system (LMS). There are two trainings covering employee safety and hazard recognition for facility staff and two trainings covering fire safety rules and home care and maintenance for residents. These trainings are designed to prevent the leading causes of property and liability claims that affordable housing organizations experience.
Gallagher clients can register for up to 10 complementary Gallagher STEP modules every year, and the safety series counts as one module selection (you get all 4 trainings in one selection). The resident trainings can either be assigned directly to residents, taken as a group during resident safety meetings, or used as a "train the trainer" tool for site staff so they have information and talking points when communicating on these topics with residents.
Our affordable housing team frequently engages with clients to offer solutions that protect their people and assets, while minimizing their liability and reducing their total cost of risk. We are more than happy to provide consultative services as needed, and have a large library of template documents (e.g., sample policies and procedures, checklists, forms) to help you develop or enhance your existing risk management programs. Your Gallagher team is ready to assist you with any questions or concerns you might have.
Additionally, Gallagher national risk control's real estate, nonprofit, supervisory development and senior living working groups present an exclusive, complimentary webcast series that is now available on demand. Watch recordings when it is convenient for you, regardless of work schedules or time zones. Viewers can look forward to broadening their safety knowledge and learning useful, timely strategies to improve and promote safety and management of risk at their locations.
We also publish risk management bulletins to assist you in strengthening your risk management plans, which can be used as training tools for staff and talking points during your safety committee meetings.
