Building capacity — aligning with you today, so you can serve your community in the future

Faith-based organizations and non-governmental organization (NGO) missionaries serve under myriad risks and exposures today — from child sexual abuse cases, #metoo, active shooter incidents and more. Our risk management and HR and benefits professionals work with faith leaders to break down the issues, having open, honest conversations to develop a plan that mitigates risks and protect their congregations, volunteers, board members and employees. How do we do this? We are proactive, innovative, and collaborative in organizing think tanks, working sessions, and conferences. These events are a time for all faiths to come together and collaborate on how to make sure they continue their outreach and impact.

Gallagher has worked with church and religious sector since a tragic 1958 fire at a Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Chicago primary school that killed 92 students and three nuns. The losses took a toll on the community and the parish, which was not property insured. Gallagher worked with the Archdiocese to consolidate more than 400 entities under one policy and created a new model of insurance to cover all parishes and ministries.
