For 2023, the top three organisational challenges affecting firms were:
- Increasing cost of benefits within tight budgets
- Appealing to a diverse workforce with different preferences
- Communication
We also learned that:
- 50% of participants stated that they are facing challenges across multiple areas — however ‘bringing the business strategy and direction to life through storytelling and inspirational leadership’ stands out, with a quarter (25.5%) of organisations identifying this as their biggest single cultural challenge.
- 81% of firms said they have a wellbeing strategy to support working parents
- 49% continue to offer only statutory paternity pay, providing the legal minimum
