Gallagher today announced a number of new senior upstream energy appointments to support its growing client base.

Darren Jones has joined as an Executive Partner. His career spans 20+ years in energy broking. He has a track record of developing and supporting international clients and has placed operational and construction programmes for many of the major energy companies around the globe. Prior to joining Gallagher, Darren held positions at Miller, Marsh and Lockton.

Ian Curtin is also joining as an Executive Partner later this month. Most recently he was Head of Energy Construction at Miller. Ian brings 50 years of energy and insurance experience having been in senior broking roles at Marsh, Lockton and Sedgewick.

Daniel Stobart joins as a Partner & Account Executive in early 2025. Daniel joins from Marsh where, for the last ten years, he has worked as an Account Executive developing, placing and servicing energy programmes for international oil and gas companies and contractors. Before this he worked for at JLT for over 20 years as a Partner in its Marine and Energy practice.

Gallagher employs over 300 energy specialists globally and has one of the most experienced groups of upstream energy insurance practitioners in the market, operating across all of the key oil and gas regions globally.
