Gallagher appoints Ex-Crawford Chief Operating Officer in senior regional role

In her new role, Lisa will lead the Birmingham based broking team of over 150 risk professionals, which alongside supporting local businesses in the region with their risk and insurance needs, also has specialist teams based in the office looking after manufacturing, real estate, charity, construction and cyber risk management clients across the UK.

Lisa has over 25 years of experience in broking and risk management, and has previously held senior roles at AXA, Willis Towers Watson and Aon. She joins from Crawford & Company where most recently she was Chief Operating Officer for the firm’s international operations & President, UK & Ireland. At Crawford, Lisa was responsible for a team of 1,500 people and was instrumental in driving growth, enhancing operational efficiency and developing new market propositions. Lisa’s prior experience, and strong regional connections, makes her well placed to lead Gallagher’s Birmingham office in its next chapter of growth.

Priorities in her new role at Galagher will include expanding the team to meet the growing needs of new and existing clients. Lisa will report into Elaine Lennox, Regional Managing Director for the Midlands at Gallagher.

Peter Matthews, Managing Director of the North at Gallagher, said: “Lisa is a fantastic addition to the team and I am delighted that she will now be leading Gallagher’s Birmingham office. She has a proven track record for driving growth, increasing client satisfaction and nurturing and developing talent. Our Birmingham team is situated in the city’s thriving Colmore Business District which reflects our ongoing investment in the area. This has put Gallagher in a strong position to recruit locally and to go even further with our support of businesses so that they are well equipped to navigate challenges and grow.”

Lisa added: “Gallagher’s investment in its extensive office network across the UK shows a real commitment to the clients and communities it serves. Being based alongside our regional client base gives us insight and understanding of the opportunities and challenges these firms face and how we can help support them. As well as the regional teams, I am looking forward to working with our specialist teams in industries such as charities, real estate and manufacturing where I see real opportunity to grow our products and services.”
