In February, Gallagher launched our Right Here for Rugby campaign, aimed at enticing new audiences to Gallagher Premiership Rugby across England. Furthering our commitment to increasing the accessibility of rugby and celebrating the community spirit that lives in the heart of each club, over 6,600 tickets were offered out to new audiences across designated Gallagher Game Days.
The Gallagher Game Day series was a collection of 10 of the biggest games taking place during the 2023/24 Gallagher Premiership Rugby season:
- Bristol Bears 52 - 21 Northampton Saints on 22 March
- Exeter Chiefs 25 - 16 Newcastle Falcons on 23 March
- Sale Sharks 41 - 5 Exeter Chiefs on 31 March
- Saracens 46 - 24 Gloucester on 20 April
- Bath Rugby 12 - 15 Saracens on 26 April
- Leicester Tigers 19 - 21 Bristol Bears on 27 April
- Harlequins 41 - 32 Northampton Saints on 27 April
- Newcastle Falcons 14 - 35 Sale Sharks on 28 April
- Northampton Saints 90 - 0 Gloucester on 11 May
- Gloucester 54 - 14 Newcastle Falcons on 18 May
Fans were treated to a range of rugby spectacles, including a nail biting ending at The Recreation Ground between Bath Rugby and Saracens, as well as watching Northampton Saints score 90 unanswered points in a historical victory over Gloucester Rugby.
With over 15,000 tickets requested via the Gallagher Right Here for Rugby ticket ballot site, each Gallagher Premiership Rugby club reported healthy attendances at their designated Gallagher Game Day fixtures. 8,361 in attendance for the fixture against Sale Sharks saw Newcastle Falcons record their highest attendance in 5 and a half years, highlighting the hunger for rugby within the North East. Saracens, Bath Rugby and Northampton Saints all experienced sell-outs for their Gallagher Game Day and more than 58,500 turned out for Harlequins v Northampton Saints at Twickenham Stadium.
Alongside the entertainment on the pitch, you could find Gallagher's Right Here for Rugby Playmaker Challenge in the stadium concourse at each of the Gallagher Game Day fixtures. A target based passing challenge suitable for all abilities and ages offered further excitement off the pitch. The Playmaker Challenge had its final outing in the Gallagher Way Fanzone at the showcase Gallagher Premiership Rugby Final on Saturday the 8 June.
Highlighting the demand for Gallagher Premiership Rugby, Gallagher's Right Here for Rugby campaign has introduced the sport and community spirit to thousands of new fans across the country as well as reinforcing Gallagher's commitment to the future of the game.
