David Lewis

David Lewis serves as the national managing director of the Human Resources and Organizational Effectiveness Consulting team within the Human Resources and Compensation Consulting practice. A seasoned human resources consultant, David brings more than 38 years of experience in workplace and talent management, navigating business issues and HR strategic management.

David began his career in HR and operational management for leading firms such as Merck/Medco and Computer Associates. Before joining Gallagher in 2024, David was the founder and chief executive officer of OperationsInc, an HR consulting firm that he started in 2001 and grew to become one of the largest and most respected HR practices in the country, with more than 150 employees supporting a client base of 2,000+. Gallagher acquired OperationsInc, , LLC in 2024.

David is a recognized subject matter expert who's often quoted by the media. He frequently contributes to television, radio, print and online media outlets, and has appeared on broadcast networks such as CBS News, CNN, NBC News, Bloomberg TV and NPR. He has served as an expert source for outlets including the Associated Press, NY Times, Wall Street Journal and Forbes.

A popular speaker, David presents and moderates nationally as an HR thought leader at industry conferences and events, including The Consumer Electronics Show (CES), the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) National and SHRM Talent.

David has served on multiple boards, including the Connecticut chapter of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), the Connecticut Business and Industry Association, the Consumer Technology Association and a number of regional non-profits.
