Gallagher has received a score of 100 — the highest score an inclusive company can receive — on the Human Rights Campaign Foundation's (HCRF) 2025 Corporate Equality Index (CEI), the nation's foremost benchmarking survey and report measuring corporate policies and practices related to LGBTQ+ workplace equality.
Susan Pietrucha, Gallagher's global chief human resources officer, said, "I'm incredibly proud that Gallagher has received this honor for the sixth year in a row. Every day, our colleagues around the world are united by The Gallagher Way and the 25 tenets promoting inclusive values like teamwork, empathy and respect. For nearly 100 years, these values have been foundational to our people-first culture where everyone can thrive."
Companies are rated based on detailed criteria falling under four central pillars:
- Non-discrimination policies across business entities
- Equitable benefits for LGBTQ+ workers and their families
- Supporting an inclusive culture
- Corporate social responsibility
Gallagher's efforts in satisfying all the CEI's criteria earned a perfect score of 100 and the designation as recipient of the Equality 100 Award: Leader in LGBTQ+ Workplace Inclusion.
The results of the 2025 CEI showcase how US-based companies are promoting LGBTQ+ friendly workplace policies in the US and abroad. The first year of the CEI included 319 participants, and the 2025 CEI now surveys 1,449 participants, further demonstrating the tremendous growth of the CEI. A record-breaking 98% of CEI businesses have non-discrimination protections specific to gender identity.
