Gallagher is pleased to announce that its Global Chief Ethics Officer, Thomas J. Tropp, has been elected to the Board of Directors of the Better Business Bureau (BBB) serving Chicago and Northern Illinois.
Tropp joined Gallagher in 2007 and now reports directly to Chairman, President and CEO J. Patrick Gallagher, Jr. In his current role, Tropp focuses on promoting and reinforcing Gallagher’s ethical culture throughout its global operations. Those efforts have contributed to the company’s recognition as one of the World’s Most Ethical Companies® by the Ethisphere Institute for nine consecutive years. Gallagher remains the only insurance broker to have received this recognition.
“At Gallagher, we believe in following both the letter and the spirit of the law, always taking the high road and striving to act with integrity,” said Mr. Gallagher. “Tom has been an instrumental force in ensuring that all of our employees understand and contribute to that culture. The BBB of Chicago and Northern Illinois will benefit from his guidance.”
I'm delighted to represent Gallagher on the Board of the BBB, which plays a critical role in maintaining integrity in the business community and offering consumers the opportunity to evaluate individual businesses,” Mr. Tropp said. “BBB companies range in size from small enterprises to large public and private companies, which mirrors Gallagher’s own client base. It’s my hope that our presence on their Board will further demonstrate our commitment to companies of all sizes.”
