When it came to locating relevant benefits information, a single source of truth was on the wishlist
With a mission to improve the health of those they serve, OhioHealth is a nationally recognized, not-for-profit, charitable healthcare outreach of the United Methodist Church.
Starting with the 2021 Annual Enrollment window, OhioHealth wanted to re-energize its benefits communications offering with a plan to simultaneously introduce additional new services to associates.
Our initial discovery workshop uncovered a key project challenge: when it came to locating relevant benefits information, a single source of truth was on the wishlist. With this in mind, we set to work finding a way to elevate the existing benefits website, PDF guides and intranet, then house everything in one centralized hub.
To add clarity of proposition, a clear internaI identity that mirrored the dynamic external-facing persona of the organization would become an essential part of delivering an experience that was befitting of this passionate group of professionals.
A new 'OhioHealth Rewards' benefits brand was created and deployed across an integrated launch campaign comprising of a home mailer, a guide for leaders, employee emails, videos, presentations and digital banners.
And when it came to communicating the diverse and expanding array of benefits and services that were available to associates, a fully bespoke website was developed, along with tailored versions for executives, consultants and physicians — an innovative and engaging solution to the initial challenges set at discovery stage.
During the first month, more than two thirds of eligible associates visited the new website – a notable increase in engagement with benefits platforms at OhioHealth.
Since launch, as well as solving the initial challenge of reinvigorating benefits communications at the organization, the "OhioHealth Rewards" website has been used to spotlight new benefit offerings and counselor resources that were launched during the COVID-19 pandemic — actions that have helped positively drive associate behavior in an undoubtedly difficult time.
In addition to that, the client feedback speaks for itself: "Thank you all for your dedicated hard work. You are all very passionate, and kind too — we appreciate that." - Senior Consultant — Communications, OhioHealth
