Jona Morton is vice president and senior client partner, based in Toronto. Jona is a results-driven and experienced leader with expertise in all facets of talent acquisition, executive recruitment, leadership advisory and human capital management consulting. Jona works closely with various senior leaders and executive teams to develop plans aimed at ensuring the organization attracts and acquires top talent to meet current and future business needs, using progressive and forward-thinking methods and tools.

In addition, Jona provides leadership and advisory capabilities to achieve strategic and operational goals across all aspects of talent acquisition and executive search. She supports senior leadership teams with the development of comprehensive and creative sourcing strategies that will create a pipeline of diverse top talent to drive business success.

Throughout her career, Jona has developed a thorough and meticulous approach to recruitment by continuously assessing, creating and improving processes, tools and systems to streamline and enhance the hiring process, as well as delivering on the organization's talent requirements and optimizing investments in resources. She's worked with various organizations from start-ups to global enterprises, where she was responsible for the leadership, development and execution of effective global talent acquisition strategies and initiatives. Jona has worked extensively with leadership teams that benefit from her knowledge and commitment to excellence in creating and innovating sourcing strategies by leveraging available trends, tools, data and analytics to make informed decisions, track KPIs and report on the effectiveness of various talent initiatives.

Before joining Gallagher, Jona worked for some of the top and largest leadership advisory and search firms, such as Boyden, Russell Reynolds Associates and Lee Hecht Harrison Knightsbridge, where she managed and oversaw the end-to-end recruitment process by leading the delivery of comprehensive and high-quality sourcing, recruiting and selection, as well as managing stakeholder relationships by providing advice, guidance, and market intelligence on various talent and industry trends.

Jona graduated on the Dean's Honour Roll from York University with a Bachelor of Human Resources Management (BHRM) degree. She's also completed the course requirements to qualify as a Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP).
