David Gore

David is a senior consultant at Gallagher Benefit Services. With more than 30 years of experience in the human resources consulting industry, David is a well-known practitioner in the HR field working with a variety of industries and unions.

Before joining Gallagher, David was an account manager and senior rewards consultant in Towers Watson's Toronto office. David has held a number of key roles with the firm, including national practice leader, Compensation. He also has considerable experience as a senior human resources practitioner with a number of prominent Canadian corporations including roles as vice president of Human Resources for C.I.L., Jannock Ltd. and American Express.

David's experience covers all aspects of total rewards strategy and design, executive compensation, strategic rewards, HR infrastructure assessment and organizational assessment. He's directed and personally conducted a large number of total-rewards broad-based human resource management organizational and compensation assignments, including developing human resource and reward strategies; and he's designed a wide range of executive, variable pay, salary management and job evaluation systems. He also has had wide experiences in designing strategies and processes to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements at both the provincial and federal levels.

David's clients span both the public and private sectors, including pharmaceuticals, financial services, and manufacturing and marketing/distribution companies. Within the public sector, David has extensive experience with government, education and hospital sectors. He has directed projects and designed systems to address issues relating to both organizational re-structuring and design, and total rewards design. Within the private sector, a number of assignments have either required direction or co-ordination of teams in multiple countries, or required personal work in those countries including North America, Europe and Australia.

David has a degree in social science from the University of Manitoba and holds an advanced management diploma from Northeastern University in Boston.
