Andrew Hosie
SVP, National Sales and Practices
As senior vice president of National Sales and Practices, Andrew is responsible for supporting the sales strategy across Canada. As a member of Gallagher's Executive Leadership team, he works with regional leaders to leverage the National Strategic Growth, Sales Operations and Industry practice teams to drive sales, growth and retention through the provision of Gallagher's differentiated tools & resources.
In addition to these roles, Andrew has oversight of Gallagher's New Producer Development and Gallagher Canada Agency Alliance (GCAP), which accelerate Gallagher's account executive talent towards enhanced service, sales innovation and specialization.
Andrew has 20 years of insurance brokerage, enterprise risk management and strategic leadership expertise. Prior to joining Gallagher, Andrew led a national risk management services division of a multi-national brokerage and was the growth leader for another global insurance provider within their risk management consulting practice. Andrew has a Bachelor of Arts in risk management from Glasgow Caledonian University (Scotland), his Canadian Risk Management diploma (CRM) and is a Certified Fellow of the International Institute of Risk Management (CFIRM).
On a personal level, Andrew represented Canada as a rugby match official for 15 years and taught risk control and management at the University of Toronto as part of the Global Risk Management Institute's Canadian Risk Management certification.
