Gallagher today announced it has acquired Tresidder Insurance Brokers, a well-established Australian-based brokerage servicing commercial clients across the country. The acquisition strengthens Gallagher's local market presence and industry expertise across manufacturing, food and beverage, biotech, and agriculture.

Founded in 2005, Tresidder Insurance Brokers has built a reputation for deep client relationships and tailored coverage. All Tresidder staff will join Gallagher, with the Melbourne team relocating to Gallagher's office in East Melbourne, while the Geelong and Toowoomba offices will continue to operate as usual.

The business will become part of Gallagher Australia under the leadership of Sarah Lyons, CEO of Gallagher Australia. "We are thrilled to welcome the Tresidder team to Gallagher," said Sarah Lyons. "The business they've built reflects the kind of client-first, solutions-focused culture we truly value. Their expertise, particularly across core regional industries like agriculture and manufacturing, will help us deliver even stronger outcomes for our clients. As part of Gallagher, the team will be well positioned to continue growing and expanding their impact in the years ahead."

Brad Tresidder, Executive Chairman and Founder of Tresidder Insurance Brokers, said, "This is a proud moment for our team. Over nearly two decades, we've committed ourselves to delivering trusted advice, deep industry insight and exceptional service to our clients. Joining Gallagher allows us to scale that vision with the backing of a global network and access to world-class resources. We're excited for what comes next — for our people, our clients and the communities we serve."

The acquisition is effective from 1 April 2025. For clients, it remains business as usual, with all teams and service commitments continuing uninterrupted under the Gallagher brand.
